Police, Fire to Train at Shasta Hall in July

Update July 20: The training has been moved from Yosemite to Shasta Hall in the Cuarto residential complex.

��ɫ��Ƶ and other local fire and police departments will train for a mass casualty incident at Shasta residence hall on Tuesday, July 25 and Thursday and Friday, July 27 and 28. Training will take place between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m.

With the recent arrival of bright red ballistic vests and ballistic helmets, ��ɫ��Ƶ firefighters are now equipped with some basic protection that allows them to enter a shooting scene, under police protection, much sooner than before — all in the interests of getting to patients as soon as possible.

��ɫ��Ƶ won't let rain stop the safety walk planned for Wednesday night (March 9), the Police Department announced. So, show up at 6:30 p.m. at the flagpole on the Memorial Union’s South Patio, and bring your umbrellas! The organizers will be serving hot chocolate and snacks before the walk.
