Vice Chancellor of Research to Become Provost at University of South Florida

Following a nationwide search, ��ɫ��Ƶ Chancellor Gary S. May and University of California General Counsel Charles F. Robinson have selected Michael F. Sweeney to serve as chief campus counsel. University of California President Janet Napolitano approved the selection, which is effective as of April 1, 2018.

Joint Management of ��ɫ��Ƶ, City Fire Departments to Conclude

The University of California, Davis, has informed the city of Davis that it will end the agreement for shared management of the campus and city fire departments. ��ɫ��Ƶ Fire Chief Nathan Trauernicht has led both since Jan. 1, 2014.

Kelly Ratliff, ��ɫ��Ƶ’ interim lead for Finance, Operations and Administration, gave formal notice of the decision to end the agreement in a Feb. 1 letter to City Manager Dirk Brazil.
