The University of California, Davis, will receive $2.7 million for two projects that advance digital health equity and future pandemic preparedness following the passage of federal spending legislation.

The projects include $1.7 million for ��ɫ��Ƶ Health’s Digital Health Equity Program and $1 million to help ��ɫ��Ƶ establish a Future Pandemic Prevention and Rapid Response Institute.

The University of California, Davis, received $783 million in external research funding for fiscal year 2016-17, up $23 million from the previous year. ��ɫ��Ƶ remained fourth overall among University of California campuses, which received a combined total of $6.08 billion from all external sponsors during fiscal year 2016-17, about 1 percent above the previous year.

“It’s clear that public agencies and private companies are depending on ��ɫ��Ƶ’ innovative spirit and expertise to help solve some of the world’s biggest challenges,” said Chancellor Gary S. May.
